Empowering every voice & fostering healing in diverse communities.

Ashanti Miranda, LCSW

My name is Ashanti. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW from USC and over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I served in the US Navy for 4 years and lead the nonprofit organization Veterans of Hope.

I am passionate about helping individuals of the global majority (Indigenous, African, Asian, or Latin American descent) and veterans acquire the tools to not just survive, but thrive mentally and emotionally. My work is rooted in providing culturally competent care that addresses the unique challenges faced by people of color and those dealing with anxiety and people-pleasing behaviors.

My commitment to mental health advocacy is highlighted by features in the SD Voyager and SD Shout articles, as well as being named a Mrs. Military 1st Runner-Up and recognized on the San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 list.

I am dedicated to helping you uproot what isn't serving you in your life and transform your pain into growth so that you can foster an environment of self-empowerment and healing within yourself.
